SCHOLARSHIPS & STIPENDS(Government Sources)

The following scholarships & stipends are available to the deserving students under the following schemes.

1. CENTRAL & STATE GOVERNMENT SCHEMES:-

(a) National Scholarship of the Govt. of India:-

Deserving students are selected by the Govt.

(b) NATIONAL LOAN SCHOLARSHIP OF THE GOVT. OF INDIA:-

The National Loan Scholarship of the govt. of India is awarded only to the student’s who have passed the qualifying examination in the First Division. Such students will have to apply in the prescribed application form.

(c) POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP (PRERANA):-

The District collector, Ck on behalf of the Welfare Department of the Government of Orissa is providing Post- Matriculation Scholarship annually to each Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe student of the college as per their family income. Students belonging to this category must apply in the prescribed application form. The forms after duly filled in should be accompanied by (1) an attested copy of mark list of the last qualifying examination (2) Income Certificate (3) Caste Certificate from the Competent Authority (4) Attested copy of the Photograph (pass port size) be submitted in the college office for onward transmission. Caste & income Certificate from an officer not below the rank of Deputy Collector or the Tahasildar of the area should be submitted.

(d) SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE DEAF, BLIND AND ORTHOPEDICALLY HANDICAPPED STUDENTS.

Such students whose age is between 17 to 30 years and who has secured not less than 50% of marks in aggregate in the last qualifying examination must apply in the prescribed form which can be obtained from the office of the D.H.E., Orissa, Bhubaneswar. These forms after duly filled in should be submitted in the office of the Principal along with a certificate of the nature of physical handicap from a specialist and an attested copy of Mark list of the last qualifying Examination on or before a date notified by the Principal.

(e) SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE CHILDREN OF PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS:-Prescribed application forms can be obtained from the office of the D.H.E Orissa, Bhubaneswar.

(f) JUNIOR MERIT COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP:

These are awarded on the results of the High School Certificate Examination at the rate of Rs.40/- each per month.

(g) SENIOR MERIT COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP:

These are awarded on the results of the +2 Examinations at the rate of Rs.50/- each per month.

These scholarship (f) and (g) are open to students both in Arts and Science stream and are awarded on provisional basis in consideration of merit list.

RULES FOR SCHOLARSHIP.

1. ADDITIONAL RULES FOR SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS.

(TRANSFERABILITY OF SCHOLARSHIP)

Students whose scholarships are tenable in the college may get their scholarship transferred from this college when they take their TC provided that they make an application to the Principal to this regard.

2. LEAVE CONDITIONS TO SCHOLARSHIP HOLDERS.

(CANCELLETION OF SCHOLARSHIP)

Absence without leave permission for any period up to the 30days at one time will entail loss for scholarship for twice the period of absence without leave permission for more than 30days at one time entails forfeiture of the scholarship.
